Blog#7: My favorite country

Hi! I'm Yuri. I haven't seen you for a long time. How are you getting along? Today, I'm going to tell you about my favorite country. My favorite country is Canada :)!!

During my sister's stay in Canada as a student, I went to Canada to meet my sister by myself.
I went to Vancouver and stayed there for 6days. While I stayed in Vancouver, we went to many places. We went to Stanley park three days after I arrived in Canada.

According to  a Web site, Stanley Park is recognized around the globe as one of the great parks of the world!
This park is too big to walk, so if you go to this park, you would be better to go this park by bycicle.:) There were a lot of plants and trees. Also so many beautiful flowers were in bloom. We had a good time at Stanley Park. Have a nice summer vacation! :)

Blog#7 A trip I took

Hi, everyone! I am Juri Hayashi.

It's cool today:-) How is your summer vacation? What's new? I am just goofing off at home:-|

By the way, have you gone anywhere recently? My grandparents, parents and I went to Gifu early in August. Have you ever been Gifu?? There are a lot of greens and clear air and water. My hometown Hadano is also a country town, but it is not as rural as Gifu. I want to live in Gifu in the future:-)
Today, I introduce the good place in Gifu!! First, my favorite place is a lily garden. There are more than ten tousand lilies. The color is not only white, but also pink, yellow, orange and red:-) It's a very beautiful place!!Some people take a walk with their dogs.

Look at this picture.
We can be appreciative of a beautiful landscape
while going up by lift.

Next, Hida-Takayama is nice city!! It is a tasteful city like Kyoto. There are some restricted areas by car or motor bike. People live there without too much technology.
Many foreign people see the sights of Hida-Takayama.

Also, Gifu has many good places or food because of clear water and air!! I hope you visit to Gifu someday:-)

Thank you!!

Blog#7 Near my hometown

 Hi, I'm Saho Harimoto.
Today, I'd like to introduce near my hometown, Kawagoe.

There are three features: place, food, and school.

First, there are a lot of sightseeing spots in Kawagoe, such as Tokinokane and Kashiyayokocho. Tokinokane was built about 400 years ago. It tells time to people fourth a day now. Kashiyayokocho is an also famous place. Sweets have been manufacutured there since beginning of the Meiji era. Now, there are about 20 cheep sweets stores.

Second, Kawagoe has an interesting food.

Kawagoe's fugashi is the longest fugashi in Japan. It is 95cm long. You can buy this fugashi at Kashiyayokocho. Sweet potato is also famous food. There are a lot of sweet potato food, such as rice cracker, ice cream, beer, and taiyaki.

Finally, Saitama has many boys' scools and girls' schools. Of course, Kawagoe also has these schools, such as Kawagoe girls' high school and Kawagoe high school. Kawagoe girls' high school is my high school.

In front of the school, there is a beautiful row of cherry blossom tree. Everyone looks forward to seeing the cherry blossom every year.

Kawagoe high school is a boys' school. This school is famous for "Water boys". In school festival, you can see the synchronized swimming by the swimming club.

A producer of a movie company watched the special section of the synchronized swimming on TV, and he made it into a movie as "Water boys". After that, the visitors to the school festival increased dramatically, in 2002, about 30000 people came there.

That is only a brief introduction to Kawagoe. I hope you can visit there someday:-)

Blog#7: My favorite place

Hi, I'm Mari Miyano.
Today is too hot so I am at home around the whole day. What are you doing when it is too hot?
And I introduce my favorite place, Kamakura. Have you been there? I often visit there.

Look, it is Shichirigahama sea. I like to feel sea breeze there. And there is a famous restaurant "bills" near the sea. Do you know the restaurant? I recommend Ricotta hotcake. It is very delicious. Moreover, you can see the sea in the restaurant because there is a fine view from the wide window. So if  you went to Kamakura, you should visit there! And I think that you have heard "Enoden" that means Enoshima electric railway.

Please watch the video 3:10~. In the train you can see the beautiful view.  Then Enoden's body is deep green and very cute. When it is sunny, you can open the window and feel winds and be relax very well.

Also there are many sightseeing spots such as Daibutsu, Tsuruoka Hachimangu and Ajisaidera. So I have not lose interest in Kamakura. Kamakura will make you enjoy!! And it takes about an hour to go to Kamakura station from Mejiro station. So please go :-) !
