Hi, i'm Juri.
Did you take part in the intercollegiate games? I did not. So I had four straight holidays last week because of no class on Thurthday!! I enjoyed :)
By the way. I have had a look at your blogs (#9) and envy your useful gadgets!! I want a smartphone earnestly!! I think Japan has a lot of high technologies, so we are surrounded by many useful things! Such things have brought about great benefits for our life :-) However, such a useful thing is not always good. I think that it sometimes makes the Japanese lazy. For instance, cellphone is very useful, but thanks to it, our ability to write in Kanji became lower than before, I think. Don’t you think so? I can't remember Kanji which I want to write once in a while.

Besides, I found an interesting topic on the internet some days ago. Please take a look at this picture.
Have you ever seen such a very short escalator? It is said to be "the shortest escalator in the world". The number of steps is only five!! You can find such a short escalator in underground shopping center in Kawasaki station. In addition, it is also found in Tokyo area. There are stairs next to the escalator. It seems more efficient to take them, so I think the escalator is not necessary and a waste of electricity :-( What do you think about it??
